Learn an amazing hack to make photo editing easier and quicker without needing to be an expert. By changing the color mode to LAB color mode, you can adjust lighting, contrast, and clarity without affecting colors. To make a dramatic effect on the sky, use the lightness channel in LAB mode and drag the curve down. To adjust specific areas of the image, use the “Apply Image” function and select the areas to be affected. You can fine-tune adjustments without affecting the rest of the photo. To avoid darkening the subject’s face, use a soft round brush with the foreground color set to black to remove the effect from the skin areas. Adding a curves adjustment layer with an S-shaped curve can increase contrast in the image. Play around with the curve until you find the desired level.
