How to create a silhouette Photo Effect using Adobe Photoshop. In this photo effects tutorial, i will show you how to convert normal photo into a beautiful silhouette look with bright sunset background in photoshop.

Silhouette Photo Effect Tutorial :

Load up images in the new document.

First Select and mask the sky areas.

Take quick selection tool and make a selection.

Now take refine edge tool, check the Smart Radius box and paint around the edge of the tree.

Photoshop does an amazing job of determining what is the Background and what is the tree leaves, and eliminates the unwanted parts of the Background sky.

Now Select the layer mask and invert it.

Select any sunset photo and place it below the layer mask.

Now change layer into dark shape visible in restricted light against a brighter background.

We do it using solid black adjustment layer. create clipping mask so that top layer clipped to the bottom layer.

We can add any bright background – any time easily.
