Create Realistic Blend Effect in Photoshop
Creating a super realistic blend effect in Photoshop! Exciting, right? Let’s dive right in.
Create Realistic Blend Effect – Photoshop Tutorial:
Select the horizontal type tool and pick any typography or graphic you like. Place it in the middle of your document. Then, convert the layer to a smart object for non-destructive editing. We’ll hide it for now and duplicate the background layer, opening it in a new document called “displace”.
Next, desaturate the layer and add a small Gaussian blur. Save this file as “displace.psd”. In the channels panel, duplicate and adjust the red channel for better contrast. Load it as a selection in the Layers panel and add a layer mask to the text layer. Then, invert it and adjust the blending options to your preference.
Now, apply the displacement effect by going to the filter menu and selecting “Displace”. Keep the scale at 20 and select “displace.psd”. Finally, add a pop of color with the color lookup and Apply Image to blend the colors.
That’s it!
