How to Remove Holes on Skin Caused by Acne Scars in Photoshop
In this photoshop photo retouching tutorial, i will show you how to get rid of holes on skin Caused by acne scars. We use split frequency healing technique to Retouch a Photo in this video.

Open up image to retouch.

Split an RGB image into low and high frequencies.

Duplicate background layer and name it “LF”.

To achieve the low frequency image, we use a blur.

Gaussian Blur the LF layer at a radius of around 15 pixels.

Duplicate background layer again and name it “HF”.

Select the HF layer, head to Image – Apply Image, and use the following settings.

Hit ok and you’ll have an image that looks like this.

Set the Layer Mode to Linear Light.

Our image should now look like the image below which is identical from the original.

HF layer contains texture detail whereas LF contains color.

Now select the Patch Tool from the fly-out menu.

Draw a closed loop around the area that you want to retouch.

Drag it to an area of smooth, clean skin with good texture. This will be your sample area.

Similarly just keep going and try to fix everything with patch tool.

We just finished cleaning damaged skin.

Now select LF layer to correct the color around patched area.

Press (Q) to edit in Quick Mask Mode.

Select your Brush Tool (B).

Paint on patched area.

Press (Q) again to get out of Quick Mask Mode and back into Standard Mode.

The red gradient will now turn into a selection area.

Inverse the selection SHIFT+CTRL+I.

Now apply gaussian blur.

You may play around with the radius that works.

You may notice that increase in radius fixs the patch area color.

Still there are little acne scars, take patch tool and fix it.
